Matthew 6:25 - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not your life more than meat and the body more than raiment?
We shouldn’t worry. Worry shows a lack of faith. Yet…without the possibility of worry, there is no room for faith. Faith can only exist when there is doubt. In fact it is this doubt that makes it faith. When you can believe in spite of doubt, you have faith.
Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
If we have the assurance of sight, sound, and logic, it is not faith. Faith exists in the absence of all reassurances except the simple voice of God. We walk on a narrow mountain trail of faith carved by doubt on one side and worry on the other. With each step we risk falling off into worry or doubt. Yet, without worry and doubt, there would not be the narrow trail of faith. There would only be the broad trail of the obvious that leads to destruction.
